How will TCI China implement a targeted strategy into your company?

1. Devise a 6 month, 12 month and 3 year strategy:
Planning is key to success in China. Direction must be established and deadlines must be met. With the scale of China and the complexity of researching products, time can become a forgotten factor. With the experience of TCI, we will propose a genuine strategy for each client, based on what they are looking for from their China strategy.

2. Consult on business in China:
TCI are experts in doing business in China. We train our clients on how to conduct business correctly in China. It is important that our clients understand the type of market and country that they are dealing with. This gives them the insight to assist in the development of the strategy.

3. Research Products:
Too often, companies get "burnt" from China because they have not conducted enough research on the product. What is the standard and what does this standard entail? It is simply not enough to know what reference number that the standard is. To correctly and consistently manufacture a product that conforms with a standard, this standard must be understood in full detail. What are the do's and don'ts with this product? What are the packing details with this product? TCI conduct the necessary research on each product before any information is given to our offices in China. This will mean that we receive correct quotations that accurately represent our clients' required specifications from each manufacturer.

4. Research factories:
TCI perform a background check on the factories. Are they legitimate, are their certificates genuine, how long are they in business, what countries do they currently export to, how many employees do they have, do they employ child labor, can they show us a copy of their current QC process? These are key questions that must be checked and confirmed. Without the ability to perform this necessary due diligence in detail, a company exposes themselves to a false sale or the sale of a bad product. For every factory that TCI conduct business with, a report is compiled that will answer each of the above questions.

5. Tough and targeted negotiations:
It is a known fact that a Chinese tongue will always negotiate a better price than the Western tongue. TCI negotiate on behalf of our client to gain the best prices and terms. Our trained negotiators have experience in negotiating with small, medium and large manufacturers and will always provide our clients with the best overall deals.

6. Receive Cost Prices from the manufacturer:
Our client will receive the cost price from the manufacturer. Included in the quotation will be all freight charges, customs charges, import duty charges, the manufacturer's certifications, the full packing details and lead times.

7. Arrange Samples:
Once the manufacturer and prices have been accepted by our client, TCI arrange the prompt manufacture and posting of relevant samples direct to our client. This will give them insight on their product.

8. Order initial small quantities:
TCI believe that business should always begin at a steady pace. Therefore as part of our negotiations, we always bargain for an initial small order at a low rate in order to test the product on the market. This lowers the risk for our clients and normally cannot be achieved unless your company is well established in China.

9. Provide up-to-date information through daily videoconferencing:
Time is always a factor while conducting business in China. TCI conducts daily video conferencing with our offices in China for up to 4 hours each day to maintain progress reports on each project. This information is then processed onto the project management system. This offers excellent updates and provides a continual project status report for our clients.

10. Install Quality Control Processes:
After researching the product, establishing what the exact requirements of our client, verifying the sample, verifying the factory and negotiating the prices, a tailored QC process must be established for the product according to our clients' requirements. This QC process will be drafted and implemented by TCI China after it is verified by our client. This stage is a crucial part to the success of the project and must be performed professionally and in detail.

11. Monitor Government changes:
Since China joined the WTO in 2001, the Chinese Government have been gradually changing their policies over time. Some of these are very important to track as they involve increased taxes and even anti-dumping duties. This service could save a company much money, time and inconvenience. TCI continually monitor this sector and keep our clients updated with any forthcoming changes.

12. Quote in Euro:
TCI will quote a door to door price in Euro. This forgoes any currency risk and gives all our clients a clear picture as to the exact price that they are paying to their door. Currency fluctuations, customs clearance fees, agency fees, port security fees, import duties, insurance and delivery all provide an unambiguous final costing on each product that arrives in. With our simple "One price for all" policy, all our clients know the exact price that they are paying for their product landed into their own warehouse.

13. Draw and implement guarantees with each manufacturer in accordance with Chinese law:
What if a problem does occur with a product? How can a company seek reimbursement? Would a European company really travel to China to seek compenstion over a faulty product? TCI sign a legal document on behalf of our client with all our manufacturers stating the replacement of any faulty goods. This guarantee is agreed according to Chinese law. Because TCI is a Chinese company, it can and will, on behalf of our client, legally enforce a guarantee through the legal route when required. This is a task that is very difficult for a European company to chase.

14. Assist with copyright protection in China:
Our legal team in China implement, where necessary, all copyright protection in China. This greatly reduces the chances of many factories reproducing a new invention. Failure to implement this in China will lead to much copying and as in the case of the factory guarantee, TCI China, on behalf of our client, can follow up on any legal issues that may occur from any infringements because we are a Chinese company.

15. Provide Marketing Tools for our clients:
Printing in China comes at a low cost. With every product that TCI's clients purchase from China, TCI can provide catalogues and brochures in the container. We work from the premise that if our clients sell more, TCI will grow more. Therefore we are delighted to provide this marketing tool at a fraction of the cost in Ireland.

16. Own name branding:

Costs
